Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
Trade Contractor OS is operated by Better Back Office Pty Ltd (ABN 76 098 186 773). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Trade Contractor OS is a business coaching and advisory service for Australian trade contracting businesses. Contact us at peter@betterbackoffice.com.au with any question about this policy or about the information we hold on you.
What we collect
When you fill in a form on our site, or a lead form on Facebook or Instagram:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your business name, and answers to questions about your business (for example whether you use Simpro, and your approximate turnover)
When you buy a Business Audit or another paid service:
- Billing details. Payment card information is handled by our payment provider and is never stored by us.
When you use our website:
- Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and time on site, collected through cookies and similar technologies including the Meta Pixel and website analytics.
When you engage us for an audit or coaching:
- Business information you choose to share with us, which may include access to your Simpro, Xero or other business systems.
How we use it
- To send you the guides, checklists, training and other material you asked for
- To contact you about your enquiry, by email, phone or SMS
- To deliver services you have purchased
- To send you marketing about our services, where you have opted in
- To improve our website and measure the performance of our advertising
- To meet our legal and tax obligations
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who operate our systems - including GoHighLevel (CRM, email and SMS), our payment processor, and our email delivery provider - and only so they can perform those services for us
- Meta Platforms, through the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, so we can measure and improve our advertising. This may include a hashed (encrypted) version of your email address. You can control this through your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.
- Professional advisers and regulators, where we're legally required to
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States.
Business systems access
If you engage us for a Simpro/Xero Business Audit or coaching, you may give us access to your business systems. We treat everything we see in your systems as confidential, we use it only to deliver the service you've engaged us for, and we're happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement - for audits we provide one as standard.
Marketing and how to stop it
Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link, and every marketing SMS has an opt-out. Use either and we'll stop. You can also email us and ask. We'll still send you service messages about something you've purchased.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies and similar technology, including the Meta Pixel, to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well.
How we look after it
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.
Getting at your information, or having it deleted
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information, where we're not required to keep it
Email peter@betterbackoffice.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we'll try to sort it out. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version always lives at tradecontractoros.com.au/privacy, with the date it was last updated at the top.
